AIS to enter US Market with locally developed insurance adjudication system
KINGSTON, Jamaica –
Advanced Integrated Systems (AIS) is set to introduce its locally developed insurance adjudication system to the United States.The local company has signed a contract with a United States Third Party Administrator to process medical and pharmacy claims from that country.Chairman and CEO of AIS, Doug Halsall made the announcement at the recent launch of the company’s new Medical Practice Management System – PAS-MD held at the Pegasus hotel in St Andrew. Halsall indicated that the agreement should lead to contracts for processing medical and pharmacy claims from the USA within six months and to the exploration of markets for the Hospital Information Management System (PAS-HIMS) and the Medical Practice Management System (PAS-MD). The technology platform that is the subject of the present agreement, the Provider Access System (PAS) is the only online real-time health insurance adjudication system available and is used in Jamaica by over 4,800 Healthcare Providers to submit insurance claims, online, in real-time, to health insurance companies. PAS is also being used by the National Insurance Board of the Bahamas, where it was awarded the Computer World Laureate, as best of breed in the world.
