MINISTRY Of Education (MOE) ‘A’ and Appliance Traders Limited (ATL) will face each other in the feature match of the 2017 Business House Netball Association (BHNA) Open League competition playoffs at the Leila Robinson Courts starting today at 7:00 pm

MOE ‘A’ will be playing their first game in their Group ‘A’ playoff, while it will be the second match for ATL. They defeated Sagicor Life ‘A’ 32-6 in last week’s action.

It is anticipated to be a very exciting encounter as a win for either team is a step closer to a spot in the final.

MOE ‘A’, the current defending champions of the divisional Senior League competition, enter the encounter with a slight advantage as their line-up includes several past national representatives.

For ATL, they will have to go all-out for a win if they are to advance to the final. They will have to trade goals, produce good centre-court plays and have a strong defence to prevent their opponents from taking total control.

Another important factor for ATL is that they will have to avoid making too many turnovers and other errors. It should be a wide open game, and providing MOE ‘A’ are prevented from taking charge, ATL could very well come out winners as they have been playing quite well this season.

MOE ‘A’ shooter Sadekie Hamilton-Barnes will have to be on target to try and outshoot their opposing shooters, as a lot will rest on her shoulders to push her team towards winning.

The swift playing approach of Paula Thompson at centre court will be the key for MOE ‘A’, while Petal Smith and Jodian Buckle should provide additional support. Goalkeeper and Captain Nicole Aiken-Pinnock is expected to do the majority of the defensive work.

Sasher Gaye Henry, coach of ATL, will be depending heavily on the shooting of captain Shian Gonzales and Shenova Edwards. They are to be supported by centre-court players, especially Shericka Dixon, who has the ability to dominate that position.

Conique Moore, Natasha Williamson could interchange with Maureen Brown and Tracia Carr, and defenders Kaneila Riley and Monique Emry.
