Rankin Pumpkin for Jacob’s Place
Japanese singjay Rankin Pumpkin is one of several acts slated to perform at Jacob’s Place Restaurant and Lounge at King’s Plaza, Constant Spring Road, St Andrew, tonight.
According to Mike Whitelock, principal of Jacob’s Place, the event is a continuation of his drive to bring love, unity, and togetherness through music.
“This is about bringing love and unity and togetherness with live music,” he told the Jamaica Observer.
Other acts slated for the free, weekly, live music event are Singing Bird, Countryman, Emanuel Chin, and Sasique.
Defying the odds, Rankin Pumpkin came to prominence as first runner-up on the 2017 staging of the televised talent contest, Magnum Kings and Queens of Dancehall. She has subsequently appeared on several local shows.
