#London2017: Jamaicans Forbes, Dacres, Smikle progress
KINGSTON, Jamaica – Jamaica’s Damar Forbes placed 10th with a leap of 7.93 metres to progress in the long jump at the London World Championships today.
Fredrick Dacres and Travis Smikle are also through to the next round in the discus throw.
Dacres had an effort of 64.13 metres while Smikle qualified with a throw of 63.23.
Daniel Stahl of Sweden leads the discus with a 67.64-metre throw.
Radek Juska of the Czech Republic topped of the long jump list with an effort of 8.24 while Jamaica’s Ramone Bailey failed to make it to the next round with a jump of 7.76.
