BREATHTAKING stunts and live performances were the order of the day at the Superior Parts NOS Maximum Boost Bike Show held at State Mall in St Andrew on Sunday.

Reggae act Sizzla Kolanji marshalled stunt riders, ensuring safety guidelines were adhered to.

“The show was clear success in terms of turnout and the level of stunts on display. The patrons were fully satisfied to the end as the bikers did such a splendid [job]. We’re looking forward to build on this going forward as bikes are part of Superior brand, and we’re looking forward to work the fraternity not just to build on excitement, but also the safety element,” Derrick Johnson Jr, Superior Part’s service manager and one of the event’s promoter, told Jamaica Observer ‘s Auto magazine.

The freestyle competition was a hit among patrons attending. First, the ‘Big Bike’ section proved to be highly competitive. However, Kingston’s “Day Light” was judged most prolific. He was clearly the most composed and daring of the competitors.

The ‘Small Bike’ showcase was highly competitive until “No Head” from St Elizabeth cranked up and took centre stage. He was a hit among the audience with his tricks.

In the modified car section, Andrew Hudson from 876 Street’s Global Brand’s 2002 DC5 Honda Integra came out on top.

Bicycle stunts were also on display.

At midnight the police came to halt the proceedings, despite the promoters’ request for a short extension of time to accommodate the full musical segment.
