ANGELS of Love Jamaica, a charity providing assistance to children diagnosed with cancer, is set to receive a new Hyundai Grand i10, come January 2018, in the Hyundai Jamaica ‘Your Miles Matter’ campaign.

In the campaign — which is slated to run from tomorrow to Friday, December 29 — Magna Motors Dealership Limited is inviting the public to test-drive its award-winning fleet of Hyundai vehicles. For every mile driven during the campaign period, US$20 will be donated towards the purchase of a Grand i10, valued at US$18,000.

“We are pleased to have forged this partnership,” said Juan Vargas, managing director at Magna Motors Dealership Limited.

“Angels of Love has been quietly and fervently doing inspiring work and making a positive impact in the lives of children diagnosed with paediatric cancer. We are happy to support their efforts by making this contribution to bolster their efficiency,” Vargas continued.

Globally, Hyundai has donated over US$130 million to paediatric cancer research, and the ‘Your Miles Matter’ campaign has aligned with the international mission, by strengthening its locally selected partner — Angels of Love Jamaica.

Philip Liu, director of Angels of Love Jamaica, expressed gratitude to Magna Motors Dealership Jamaica for selecting the charity as the beneficiary of the initiative.

We are passionate about doing the best for each and every child, from providing transportation to and from medical appointments, to covering medical bills, medication/x-rays, school expenses and just providing a shoulder to lean on; we are there every step of the way. With this partnership with Magna, we are hopeful about the future as we continue to care for the children and to make the rest of their lives, the best of their lives,” he said.

Founded in 2009 by Philip and Claudine Liu, Angels of Love Jamaica provides support and advocacy for critically ill, disadvantaged and vulnerable children across Jamaica. The organisation currently caters to 50 children with physical, mental and emotional pain.
