It’s all set and ready to go for the long-awaited ISSA/FLOW “Super MoBay Weekend” and fans will get the unique opportunity of watching the opening matches live on YouTube.

Carlo Redwood, FLOW’s vice-president of Marketing and TV, told the Jamaica Observer that his team is in the process of perfecting a formula that will allow as many people as possible to witness the “Champions League of Schoolboy Football”.

“The Friday games are going to be aired on the FLOW YouTube channel. Anybody that wants to see the game will have to go on YouTube, type in FLOW and they will get the stream,” said Redwood.

“On Saturday (tomorrow), it will be on FLOW Sports (Channel 690) and you can get access through your mobile and the FLOW Sports app,” Redwood added.

The opening match today will see Clarendon College tackling Calabar High at 3:00 pm, before St Elizabeth Technical High School (STETHS) play St Andrew Technical High School (STATHS) at 5:00 pm at Catherine Hall.

Tomorrow, former Super Cup champion Jamaica College enter the fray against Dinthill Technical High at 5:00 pm before the dangerous Kingston College and Rusea’s High clash at 7:00 pm.

“FLOW TV customers will have access to all the games each week on Video-On-Demand (VOD) for free. So the games on Friday and Saturday, customers will have access to those games on Monday after every weekend games. The coaches and players can watch other teams and analyse, and fans can relive the moments,” Redwood added.

Meanwhile, patrons are asked to act swiftly to snap up fast-moving tickets. No tickets will be sold at the gate.

“Tickets are going fast, so we want to encourage persons to come to the games early as no tickets will be sold at Catherine Hall, but up the street from Catherine Hall at the old Cars To Go located across from MegaMart, game day tickets will be sold,” Redwood pointed out.

“Presold tickets will be sold at Carlton Stores on Half-Way-Tree Road and the Fairview Store in Montego Bay,” he added.

It will cost $500 for bleachers and $1,000 for grand stand entry.

Meanwhile, firearms will not be allowed in the venue in light of an issue that occurred last year.

“We are working very closely with police on these games and wanting to improve how we treat those games in Montego Bay. We will not be allowing any firearms into the event. No licensed or unlicensed firearm in the event,” Redwood said.

The rich Super Cup to be contested by eight teams will see each team guaranteed $50,000 for just being in the quarter-finals. The farther they advance, the more money they make in a share of $1 million.

The four semi-finalists will earn an additional $100,000, with the two finalists getting another $200,000. The winner will get $650,000.

At the end of the tournament, there will be two Super Cup All-Star teams that will be selected. The A team will be selected by the media, while the B team will be chosen via Facebook voting. The teams will then be involved in a training session with coaches from English club Manchester United.

The Super Cup is in it’s fourth year and is expected to yet again provide a great spectacle with the expected excitement on the field and the entertainment off the field. Sound systems, deejays, recording artistes, dancers and lots of giveaways will be apart of the thrills courtesy of a range of sponsors.
