Too many NIDS questions
Dear Editor,
We are already insecure of our security.
We already do not trust the Government and the security forces. We already do not have a fair and balanced justice system.
So why do something like the National Identification System without proper communication to the public about what it really is?
What is its purpose? What are the pros and cons? What are the assurances of our safety? These questions need to be answered.
Where are our democratic rights to know how things like these could affect us (positively and negatively) and rights to withhold private and confidential information, especially to people we do not trust and for a purpose we do not know.
This needs revision and more discussion on how it could be tailored to alleviate or reduce other issues in the country.
