‘Ants Inna Yuh Milk’ was a huge success
The rustic town of Old Harbour in St Catherine experienced a musical explosion at the recently held dance Black Ants Inna Yuh Milk: Full Black Edition recently.
Held at the East Street bus park, the event was promoted by Billboard Lifestyle in association with Box a Money Promotions. It was hosted by Kimeka Small.
It was the second staging of the event.
“Our main objective was set out to capture a wider audience in terms of people from abroad and in other parishes and not just in our community and we did just that,” said co-promoter Megan Richards.
“The support was epic. Our events are known for providing quality entertainment because we have been doing events in South Florida. It was not surprising that we got a vast number of persons in attendance at our Boxing Day event. Promoting our brand is what we do best,” she continued.
The event featured a large array of disc jocks and sound systems who provided an arsenal of intense musical juggling for patrons who turned out in large numbers. They include Chromatic, Chris Dymond, Killa Filla, Turbo Sonic Sound, Niney Badness, SSMG, Teta Pow and Najair.
Several entertainment personalities were also in attendance. They include Dexta Daps, Govana (who is currently riding high with the song Gyal Clown), Semtexx, Marr, and Strykk.
Part proceeds from the event will go towards community projects in the Old Harbour area.
“So far, we have provided funding to clean up the bus park that persons who traverse the area and the community can travel with ease and in a clean and healthy environment,” said Richards.
The promoter extends her thanks to the patrons who came out to support the event.
“Special thanks to the community for their loyal support and the entire Box a Money/Billboard World Event Team, So Bad Music, Father Steadman Bailey who coordinated the security team and the Jamaica Constabulary Force for making the event safe and memorable for our patrons.”
Box a Money’s South Florida event returns in October over the Miami Carnival weekend.
