Bridgez’s mediation success
Singjay Bridgez and her alleged knife-wielding attacker have come to an agreement.
When the matter was called up in the Kingston and St Andrew Parish Court in Half-Way-Tree yesterday, the prosecutor told the court that the mediation was successful and an amount was agreed on.
The court also heard that Bridgez’s alleged attacker, Gaymion Morgan, paid her $100,000 and is to pay a balance of $50,000 by the end of this month.
Morgan’s bail was subsequently extended for him to return to court with the outstanding balance on January 30.
The entertainer, whose given name is Bridgette Roache, was reportedly attacked by Morgan while purchasing jerk chicken along Red Hills Road in St Andrew in July 2017. She was stabbed several times and her vehicle’s fog lights were destroyed.
The matter was reported to the Constant Spring Police Station. Morgan was subsequently arrested and charged with unlawful wounding and destruction of property.
