St Mary trio charged with ganja possession

ST MARY, Jamaica — Two men and a woman have been arrested and charged with illegal possession of ganja and dealing in ganja after police seized five pounds of the drug during an operation in Boscobel, St Mary yesterday.

They are: 51-year-old Jerome Jackson, fisherman of Boscobel; 65-year-old Errol Watson of Highgate and 60-year-old Rosemarie Addison cleaning attendant of Highgate, all in St Mary.

Reports from Narcotics police are that about 7:00 am, lawmen were in the area when a shack was searched and the illicit drug was found in their possession.

They are scheduled to appear before the St Mary parish court on February 15.
