Police seeking victim in downtown Kingston robbery
KINGSTON, Jamaica — Police assigned to the Kingston Western Division are seeking the public’s assistance in locating the victim of a robbery that occurred at the intersection Beckford Street and Luke Lane Kingston on February 8.
The female victim is about 165 centimetres (5 feet 5 inches) tall and was wearing a blue short dress.
Reports are that officers were on patrol in the area when the accused was seen snatching an anklet from a female who was walking along the roadway.
He was subsequently arrested, searched and the anklet found in his possession. He has since been charged with larceny.
The police are appealing to the victim to report to the Denham Town Police Station or to appear in the Kingston and St Andrew Parish Court on Thursday, March 29.
