Raddy Rich freed of fraud charges
Popular Corporate Area street dancer and choreographer Raddy Rich was yesterday freed of fraud charges when he appeared in the Kingston and St Andrew Parish Court.
The 2013 Youth View Dancer of the Year, whose given name is Rohan Lyttle, was arrested last November and charged jointly with Jamar Purrier and Howard Hares with conspiracy to defraud and possession of forged documents.
Yesterday, however, when Lyttle appeared before Parish Judge Chester Crooks, the prosecutor informed the court that there was not enough evidence to proceed against him and his two co-accused. Hence, they were freed of all charges.
Allegations were that on the day in question, Lyttle and the other two men were seen acting in a suspicious manner in Half-Way-Tree in St Andrew. All three were held and searched by the police who reportedly found what appeared to be tampered with credit and debit cards in Lyttle’s and Hares’ possession.
The men were taken into custody and charged.
Attorney Richard Lynch, who represented the dancer, told the court that no fraudulent bank card was found in Lyttle’s possession
Raddy Rich emerged on the dance scene several years ago and has since taken his dance moves to North America, France, Japan and Russia. In addition to appearing in a number of music videos, he is also the choreographer behind Nicki Minaj and Sean Kingston’s Dutty Love, and Drake and Mavado’s Find Your Love music videos.
He is also featured in Nick Cannon’s movie King of the Dancehall (2016), which was shot in sections of St Catherine and the Corporate Area.
