Kool Johnny Kool on a musical ‘Quest’
Singer Kool Johnny Kool is in promotion mode for his fifth studio album titled Quest. The album was released last summer.
“The album has been doing well and we did some positive and uplifting songs. My fans are reacting to it positively,” Kool Johnny Kool told the Jamaica Observer.
His previous albums include Strength and Power, Jammin, True Feelings, and Smile from the Heart.
Quest features 12 tracks, including Them Nuh Real, Hard to Believe, How Unno Dweet (featuring Richie Kanary), Jah Jah Give Life, and Dig Deep.
Last month he released the song Do It Again featuring Krysi Webb. It was produced by Nijeri Records.
“I’m getting a lot of positive feedback about this song. I believe it has the potential to be a huge hit,” he said.
Born Dalbert Wright, Kool Johnny Kool is from the Sandy Park area of Kingston. He began his career as a disc jockey on the Silver Hawk and Media Mix sound systems.
He has also toured as a supporting act for several major reggae and dancehall acts, including Shabba Ranks, Max Romeo, The Heptones, Beenie Man, Anthony B, and the Dub Tonic Kru.
“I’ve done a lot of tours. I’ve been to places like Africa, Europe and South America. Touring has helped me to carve a niche for myself on the international reggae scene,” Kool Johnny Kool added.
