Pedestrian dies after being hit by car along North Coast Highway
TRELAWNY, Jamaica — A pedestrian died yesterday after being struck by a motorcar on the North Coast Highway in Trelawny.
The Falmouth police said they were summoned to the scene, in the vicinity of Retreat Heights district in Falmouth, about 10:45pm.
It is alleged that the unidentified man stepped into the path of a silver Toyota Axio motorcar, which was travelling from Falmouth towards Duncans in the parish, and was hit.
The deceased, who is believed to be in his mid 60s, was wearing a black shirt and a pair of black pants at the time. He is of dark complexion and was about 167 centimetres (5 feet 6 inches) tall.
