Stevie G has big dreams
While growing up in Portland, emerging singer Stevie G said he experienced first-hand what it was like to be poor.
“My parents never had money, but they worked real hard to support my brothers and sisters. I have always wanted to help people and I have been very concerned about the homelessness I saw on the streets,” said Stevie G.
His latest single Stay Up Pon Di Money reflects his experiences. The song is produced by Ultimate Records.
“My aim is to spread love in my music while uplifting persons at the same time. I want to change the world with music,” he added.
Now residing in California, Stevie G began singing at the age of 10. He lists Bob Marley and Dennis Brown among his musical influences.
Stevie G has performed at events in California, including the annual Seabreeze Festival and the Martin Luther King Day Celebration. He has also been recognised by the City of Inglewood for his musical contribution to the community.
He has done work with Grammy Award-winning producer Q-million and Unseen Lab Recordings artiste and actor E-Dee.
Among his recordings are Money Changes People, Baby I Love You and Babylon.
