NWA postpones Barbican traffic changes
KINGSTON, Jamaica — The National Work Agency (NWA) has postponed the implementation of new traffic changes in the Barbican area, which were to take effect today.
The NWA this morning announced on Twitter that the changes have been put on hold due to “unforeseen technical challenges” and said members of the public will be informed as soon as they have been resolved.
The agency had said yesterday that motorists travelling in the area were expected to experience today, for the first time, the newly implemented traffic flow following the completion of roadworks.

According to Services Stephen Shaw, NWA’s manager of communication and customer services, these changes when implemented are permanent and are some of the primary outcomes of the current road widening and improvement project on sections of Barbican and East King’s House roads.
