Our major challenge is… low per capita consumption of coffee in Jamaica. We have one of the lowest rates of coffee consumption in the Americas.
This product became available to the public in… January 2018.
The response to Nescafé Gold has been… extremely encouraging; this is mainly due to the more intense and smooth flavour along with its richer aroma than other variants in the market.
Our core customers are… aspirational full-time, middle- to high-income earners who want the best for themselves and are very comfortable indulging in the finer things of life.
Future plans include… the introduction of additional formats to the market to fit a variety of premium beverage needs.
Our first breakthrough came when… Nestlé Jamaica got the approval to take this premium product to the market because a number of our partners and consumers had been requesting this.
Jamaicans should support this product because… this is premium quality coffee, created with care for the moments that matter.
Our products are successful because… Nescafé is the global leader in coffee and has gathered all its expertise gained over the years of making high-quality products.
If we knew then what we know now… we would have widened the retail pool from which consumers can get this wonderful product. However, we have since made it available to more retailers islandwide.
