Sandz in New York this evening
KINGSTON, Jamaica — For the first time in its four-year existence, Jamaican party series Sandz Caribbean Music Festival will head to New York this evening. This follows closely on the heels of its sixth staging in Fort Lauderdale over the US Memorial Weekend.
The event is scheduled for the Jones Beach West End Field 2, Ocean Parkway, Point Lookout in Long Island.
Sandz is promoted by Yung Kingz Entertainment and is regarded as a must-attend eventlocally.
Jermane Davis, a member of the promotions team, explained the move to New York.
“Our main objective is to give the New York City market a taste of the authenticJamaican entertainment that Sandz is known for. We have so far had six events in Florida and this is our first time going to New York,” Davis told Observer Online.
Sandz New York will feature music from Code Red led by Chris Dymond and DJ Lank and New York’s DJ Cali B and DJ Stacks.
Sandz has grown from a simple beach party into a massive event.
“The patrons in New York can expect the usual high energy, authentic vibe with lots of surprises,” Davis added.
