Germany’s DeeBuzz wins Euro Rumble
DeeBuzz from Germany won the Euro Rumble sound system clash on Saturday at the U Club in Wuppertal, Germany.
The ‘sound’ emerged victorious from a field of five which included: Northern Lights — Italy (defending champions); Splendid Sound — Poland; Guiding Star —France and TriggaFinga — Italy/Greece.
Sebastian “Puppa Deebuzz” Brunke of DeeBuzz said their experience in sound clashes throughout Europe paid off.
“We won because we were confident and heavy loaded, but most of all because we are a real team with ambition to win the World Clash in Canada. This is proof that hard work and vibes lead to success,” said Brunke.
The other members of DeeBuzz are Skarra Mucci, Dennis the Menace and Lenny Freeman. They are based in Mannheim, Germany.
Brunke spoke about the sound system movement in Germany.
“The culture is slowly recovering from a crisis. Too much sound bored out this sport by regular performance. But now DeeBuzz is here,” he said.
Promoter of the Rumble series, Garfield “Chin” Bourne, is optimistic about sound systems growing in Europe.
“Europe is the home of a heap of talented sound systems. Sound system culture is very much alive there. Europe embraces sound clash wholeheartedly. The objective of keeping the Euro Rumble is to provide a platform that can serve as a launching pad for the international exposure of talented European sounds,” he said.
UK Rumble is the final in the Rumble series. It takes place June 30 in Telford, England.
The grand final of World Clash is scheduled for Canada later this year.
