Hanna to represent Opposition leader at Independence Day events

KINGSTON, Jamaica — Opposition People’s National Party (PNP) spokesperson on foreign affairs and foreign trade, Lisa Hanna, is to represent party leader Dr Peter Phillips at Independence Day celebrations while he travels overseas on family related matters.

The PNP in a release a short while ago, said Phillips will leave the island today, which will result in him being unavoidably absent during the national Independence Day celebrations and has asked Hanna to represent him at these events.

The party said Phillips will be travelling with his wife Sandra and they are expected to return to the island next Thursday.
