Weather update: Isolated morning showers in north eastern parishes
KINGSTON, Jamaica — The Meteorological (Met) Service of Jamaica says isolated showers should be expected across north eastern parishes this morning but remaining mainly sunny elsewhere. Widely scattered showers and isolated thunderstorms should be expected across sections of western parishes this afternoon.
By early afternoon, a tropical wave is expected to drift across the island, the Met Service said.
“A surge in wind speed associated with a low level jet stream behind the wave is expected to produce windy conditions this afternoon across the island, particularly along southern coastal areas,” the Met Service reported.
Tonight should be mainly fair.
