Cricket Club Knights seek WBA Elite League semi-final berth
MONTEGO BAY, St James — Cricket Club Knights will hope to secure their place in the semi-finals of the Western Basketball Association Elite League today when they take on Holland Saints in the second game of a rescheduled return-round double-header at the Montego Bay Cricket Club.
Knights, who beat Lucea Flames on Saturday, are in second place on 19 points, one behind leaders Granville Jaguars, who will be going after their 11th straight win in the first game, against Flames.
Former winners Catherine Hall All-Stars boosted their semi-final chances over the weekend with two wins — beating Holland Saints on Saturday and then edging Sav-Elite Titans by one point on Sunday to take over third place on 18 points.
On Saturday, Catherine Hall won 77-61 over Holland Saints, who have lost three in a row since the restart two weeks ago, then held off a hard-charging Titans 68-67 on Sunday.
Cornwall Courts Chargers pulled themselves off the foot of the table with back-to-back wins after beating Inner-city Avalanche on Sunday.
