Where are these media people?
Dear Editor,
The loving and compassionate Marie Garth, who worked with RJR for so many years, migrated long ago, but whenever she visits Jamaica she always comes on the air and gives her friends and fans some gracious, heartfelt greetings. She is such a wonderful lady.
As with her, I am very much concerned about some of our other former radio and television personalities and journalists who did a great job in the media, but who I haven’t heard about in years. I would like to know if they are okay or if they are still around.
I know that some of them have migrated, but it would be nice if they could reach out to us with some greetings and let us know of their whereabouts.
Erica Allen, the amazing journalist who served RJR for many years and who was also an excellent news reader with such a beautiful voice — how is she now?
I would also love to hear from Jeannie Hasting, David Burnham, Curtis Myrie, Antoinette Haughton, Charles Lewin, Henry “Busha” Stennett, Robert “Bobby” Fray, Hol Plummer, Hope Howard, Ronnie Logan, Keith Brown, Jodi Brown Lindo, and Joan Johnson, who hosted a programme on JBC Radio 1 called Journeys with two co-hosts — Rosie Murray and Althea Morrison.
There are many more. So, ladies and gentlemen, if you are reading this letter, please let us hear from you.
Donald J Mckoy.
