Upgrading planned for Salem Beach, St Ann
KINGSTON, Jamaica — Tourism Minister, Edmund Bartlett is scheduled to break ground next week Tuesday for the renovation of the Salem Beach, Runaway Bay, in St Ann. Also participating in the groundbreaking is Member of Parliament for North West St Ann Dr Dayton Campbell.
According to the tourism ministry, the renovation falls under the Tourism Enhancement Fund’s Public Beaches Programme, which targets beaches islandwide for development and upgrading.
The Salem Beach renovation is being done in collaboration with the National Environment and Planning Agency, which owns the public beach.
