THE second staging of Chill Drink Chat Ride (CDCR) at Tru-Juice River, Bog Walk, St Catherine, last Sunday brought in positive reviews, according to event creator Tavar Mighty.

“This staging was far better than the first and gave patrons a different experience that isn’t available anywhere else,” Mighty told the Jamaica Observer’s weekly Auto magazine.

The event took over a section of the Tru-Juice Orchards connecting a riverside party to an off-road trail where partygoers could grab one of the several single-seat or side-by-side Utility Vehicles (UTVs) for a quick adrenalin-fuelled spin.

The idea for CDCR came out of Mighty’s personal weekend activities with the UTVs.

“I used to go out in the UTVs with family and friends. There was so much interest that I decided to turn it into an event,” he explained.

The first CDCR was held in July, and Mighty has big plans for 2019.

“We’re not looking to stop. We’re taking this as far as we can.”

This second edition was themed Pan Di Riva, but Mighty revealed that the event may travel around to different venues to keep CDCR fresh.

“The first one was just dirt. This one was by the river to give the party crowd something to do. However, we might have a beach one next year,” he said.
