Canadian woman dies in St James crash
ST JAMES, Jamaica — A Canadian woman has succumbed to injuries sustained in a motor vehicle collision on Kent Avenue, Barnett Street in St James on Monday, the police have reported.
The woman has been identified as 35-year-old Cynthia Giquere of a Canada address.
According to a report from the police’s Corporate Communications Unit (CCU), Giquere was a passenger in a Toyota Corolla motor car when the driver of the motorcar allegedly lost control of the vehicle and crashed into a perimeter wall about 4:30 am.
Giquere sustained several injuries and was taken to hospital where she was pronounced dead.
The police did not disclose the status of the driver.
