Antiks rings in the New Year
Antiks was one of the options for New Year’s Eve. It took place at 1A Oxford Road in New Kingston on Tuesday. And from all indications it had the winning formula.
“Hard work, consistent promotion, and brotherhood. That’s all a part of the formula that worked for us,” said co-promoter Shakquor Thompson.
The event attracted a massive turnout of patrons, who danced up a storm as they rang in the New Year.
In keeping with the young demographic, popular DJs such as DJ Mac, DJ Antsman, DJ Metro and DJ Spectre were commissioned to provide a kaleidoscope of music.
This was the first staging of Antiks and promoters, also comprising Tye McKay, Tyrique Tailoy and Kenrick Jarrett, were obviously overwhelmed by the support.
“Well, for starters, the support was unbelievable. We were all shocked by the turnout. We are definitely pleased with the support that we got,” said Thompson.
Antiks returns on December 31.
