Construction worker dies in Manchester crash
MANCHESTER, Jamaica — Investigators assigned to the Manchester Police Division are probing the circumstances surrounding the fatal collision that claimed the life of a man on the Aenon Town main road in Manchester yesterday.
Dead is 30-year-old Leroy Campbell, a construction worker of Cufferidge district, St Ann.
Reports from the Spaulding police are that Campbell was the pillion passenger on a Zhujiang motorcycle, which collided with a Toyota Probox that was travelling in the opposite direction about 2:30 pm. It is alleged that the rider had lost control of the motorcycle.
Both men sustained injuries and were taken to hospital where Campbell was pronounced dead and the rider was admitted for treatment.
The driver of the motorcar was not seriously injured.
