JamaicaN-born , US-based dancehall rapper A’mari (aka DJ Mona Lisa) is preparing a major push of Black Hypocrisy , which applauds the diversity and strengths of Jamaica.

“Let us celebrate our country, our women are some of the most beautiful in the world, winning Miss World several times. We produced Marcus Garvey, Bob Marley and great thinkers. Don’t buy into the negatives about our country, last week, over 2,400 visitors came to our island to watch Buju Banton’s concert, the island made over US$3.3 billion in tourism in 2018,” she said.

“As black people, we are too quick to beat down our own race because it doesn’t fit into their white concepts of governance and progress, but Jamaica has all these great things happening for us, so we must be doing something right,” said A’mari, whose real name is Veneice Fung-Chung.

The single was released on the Phantom Fireworks Record Inc in December 2018, and features rapper Anwar GetEm, and vocals by Alex Marie Brinkley.

A social media personality, A’mari plans to return to Jamaica late this month to shoot a video for Black Hypocrisy.

“I want to change the world with my music by sticking to certain values that can help build up our society instead of damaging it. Like Marcus Garvey said: ‘liberate the minds of men and ultimately you will liberate the bodies of men,’” she said.
