iCreate to train Heart facilitators and students
CREATIVE training institute has inked a deal with the Heart Trust NTA, following a year-long negotiation process between the training institutes.
The signing of the memorandum of understanding which took place last week Tuesday will see iCreate training and certifying facilitators and students in a range of digital economy and digital media programmes.
iCreate and HEART’s agreement comes just days after iCreate signed a memorandum of understanding with the KSAMC to train 40 young people in video production.
The new courses are slated to begin next month across all HEART institutions.
“The partnership is in line with the strategic direction that the HEART TRUST NTA is currently pursuing, as we look for emerging sectors to support and certify, through partnerships,” director of Garmex Ltd, Orville Plummer, noted during the MOU signing ceremony.
The implementation will begin with a 32-hour capacity building for HEART facilitators in preparation for classroom teaching. This will be followed by a 40-hour customised programme, in social media customer service.
“iCreate aims to build the creative and digital economy. This partnership with HEART enables us to touch a very important part of the talent pool for the most creative and forward-thinking people in the creative industry, not just for Kingston but also in Montego Bay and wherever iCreate is needed,” iCreate’s Founder and CEO Tyrone Wilson, stated.
