Two suspected suicide cases in Manchester
MANCHESTER, Jamaica — The police in Manchester have reported two cases of suspected suicide committed in the central parish over the past week.
In the first instance 24-year-old Cosmour Copeland of Cumberland district in Spalding is suspected to have committed suicide in his community on Sunday, April 14.
Reports from the Spalding Police are that about 7:00 am on Wednesday, April 17 residents and family members went in search of Copeland, who had gone missing, and found his body hanging by a rope from a tree.
And, 30-year-old Dwayne Sinclair, a labourer of Newlands district, Mandeville, is suspected to have committed suicide in his community on Thursday, April 18.
The Mandeville Police reported that about 4:00 am residents stumbled upon Sinclair’s body hanging from a tree by a belt tied to its neck. and alerted them. The scene was processed and the body removed to the morgue.
Investigations continue in both cases, the police said.
