Morris tees up For Alliance National Amateur Golf Championships
Jamaica’s finest golfing talent will be on display during the Alliance National Amateur Golf Championships, which tees off at 8:00 am at Caymanas Golf Club today.
Sean Morris, 2017 champion, Justin Burrowes, William Knibbs, Rocco Lopez, Jonathan Newnham, Mark Newnham, Owen Samuda, Kei Harris and Jodi Munn-Barrow are some of the national representatives who will be competing in the four-day event to determine Jamaica’s National Amateur Champion.
Alliance Investment Management Limited is the three-time sponsor of this, the second event on the Jamaica Golf Association’s 2018-2019 golf calendar. JGA President Peter Chin is pleased to be affiliated with the championships, which also include the island’s most accomplished juniors — Justin Burrowes, Tristan Brown, Rocco Lopez, Matthew Grant, Emily Mayne, and Mattea Issa.
The Super Senior category championship will run over three days, and the tournament also includes a two-day Alliance 36 segment on the weekend. Competitors in the championship event will benefit by gaining two sets of Order of Merit points from the Alliance National Amateur Golf Championships.
