CSEC ✔CAPE ✔Summer?????? Exams are finally out of the way and here comes summer… Alright teens, exams are above us now but do not spend the summer worrying how you did. Summer is here and we must capitalize on all of our time. Here are seven things every teen must do this summer: 1.Spend a day at the beach!Sun, sand and sea spells summer (well in my vocabulary it does). There is no way one can not take a trip to the beach this summer. With this heat I wish I could spend everyday at the beach. And I know some of us are working or desperately waiting for that job to call you, however still take a day or two to relax at the beach.  P.S. Girls, don’t worry about that perfect summer body, the beach will take whatever body you give it! 

2.Go out with your friendsAfter all the exam stress, we deserve to have some fun, at least for one night. If you are a foodie like myself then ensure you visit a couple restaurants. Eat good food, take some pics and make memories. We are here for a good time not a long time!

3.Go to the movies.Yes I know that’s a regular activity but there’s a new movie theatre with lazy seats and great quality. So wherever you are in Jamaica, lengthen the lines that will definitely be waiting at Sunshine palace as soon as it opens.

4.Go on a vacation So if your pockets are a lot deeper than mine then feel free to treat yourself to a vacation. Perhaps a weekend trip to Royalton Blue Waters or even better just leave the island. This summer’s motto is catch flights not feelings!

5.Volunteer!Sounds pretty boring but if done correctly you will reap great rewards. Yes, there is a correct way to volunteer. It is summer and you have a lot of time on your hands, so give a little time to volunteering. Volunteer for an organization that you are acquainted with or have a passion for and you will feel like you are surely making your mark in this world. 

6.Create a crazy bucket list (if you do not have one already) and challenge yourself to complete it!Personally I want to camp at Holywell and then hike the blue mountain . I know it doesn’t sound that crazy but with a group of eager teens, we shall make this excursion crazy. So create your own bucket list. It is your very own method of madness. 

7.Sleep… and sleep… and sleep Yes you have a long list of things you want to do this summer and I urge you to get it done. But I am also reminding you to get some sleep. Summer can only be thoroughly enjoyed if you’re well rested. So what are you waiting on? Kick start your summer today!!!!
