Doha 2019: Rushell Clayton wins heat for 400mH semi spot
DOHA, Qatar — Jamaican champion Rushell Clayton won the final 400m hurdles heat in 55.23 seconds at the 2019 IAAF World Athletics Championships in Doha, Qatar.
Clayton, who scored a notable win at the London Anniversary Games earlier this summer, dominated from the start to secure her win.
Canada’s Sage Watson, the PanAm champion, was second in 55.57s, with Meghan Beesley of Great Britain (55.97s) battling hard for a third place finish. Sarah Carli, of Australia, was fourth in 56.37s.
