Call of Duty is now mobile
We know that Call of Duty is a fan favourite but we didn’t expect that since its launch on Tuesday (Oct 1), the game has been downloaded over 10 million times according to Google Play.
According to Sensory Tower, a data analytics company for mobile apps, the game is estimated to have been downloaded over 20 million times between Android and Apple mobile devices with an estimated intake of 2 million dollars in revenue.
Well that shouldn’t be unexpected as Call of Duty usually
hits top sales numbers when it is released on traditional game machines such as
the PlayStation.
Since its release, there were a few hiccups due to the high frequency of downloads that led to some players being unable to log in but according to Activision, those challenges were remedied on Tuesday.
The game is modelled after the original games and brings
together maps, modes, weapons and characters from across the Call of Duty
universe. The Game was developed by Tencent’s Timi studio and published by
Activision and is free to play with in game purchase options.
