Born in St. Andrew in 1976, Morin boasts rich experience working with different cultures across the Caribbean, Middle East, Africa, Eastern Europe, and Asia, which has shaped his leadership style and ability to deliver performance improvement irrespective of the environment.
Okay, now that the ‘boring’, business-y part is out of the way, we’re sure you (like many of us) are curious to know just who is Justin Morin?
Well, you’re in luck! BUZZ spoke exclusively with the new ATL Managing Director, and presents 10 facts on Justin Morin:
1. Jamaican, first and foremost

“I’m a passionate, die-hard Jamaican. Having been around the world, that was the way I differentiated myself,” Morin began.
2. Master of his trade, Justin
Morin holds a general Master of Business
Administration (M.B.A.) in Business Administration and Management, which he received
from IESE Business School at the University of Navarra in 2009.
Before, he received a Bachelor of Science
(B.Sc.) Industrial Engineering with high honours from the University of Florida,
after studying between 1996 and 1999.
3. Even with the college degrees, Justin breathes STGC
A very proud St. George’s College Old Boy, Morin credits his love for football from his time at STGC. “George’s first, of course!” Morin exclaimed.
4. Football is life
He was a keen student-athlete having played for St. George’s at the Pepsi (Under-13), Colts (Under-15) and three years at Manning and Walker cups level.
Now, he really plays for the enjoyment of
the sport.

“People have me off as a big footballer; truth is, I’m just a fan of the game,” Morin argued.
Morin told BUZZ that he’s ‘slowly’ becoming a Manchester City loyalist for two reasons: Pep Guardiola and Raheem Sterling.
Though Pep left Barcelona FC five years ago,
Morin still holds the club and Lionel Messi close to his heart.
5. DJ Morin?
Calling it a weird quirk of his, Morin told BUZZ that his career started while living in Dubai. When a gap in authentic Jamaican music appeared, encouraged by his wife Lara, Justin jumped at the opportunity as has never looked back.
His biggest crowd was over 5,000 people as DJ for Ky-Mani Marley during the 2017 Bob Marley Birthday Fest at the Dubai International Marine Club.
6. Not much TV, but he does have a fave…
When he’s not ‘managing directing’ at ATL, Morin enjoys catching up on popular US television series Billions – though admittedly, he’s not up to speed with the current season.
7. Movies…
Interestingly, the newest addition to the
ATL Group is a huge adventure-fantasy and action movie buff.
Morin told BUZZ that the last movie he enjoyed watching was Spiderman: Far From Home, with his twin daughters Ella and Sienna.
Here’s his top five, (well six) favourite movies of all time: Lord of the Rings (the entire franchise); Beverly Hills Cop II (released in 1987), Die Hard (the 1988 original); Star Wars (the original franchise); as well as the I Am Bolt and Marley documentary-movies.
8. Reggae and more reggae!
While Morin confessed his daughters
currently curate his music playlist, he has a soft spot for reggae.
Morin listed his three favourite songs of all time as: Sizzla – Woman I Need You, Beres Hammond – They Gonna Talk, and Bob Marley’s timeless Africa Unite.
9. Not your ‘average’ bookworm…
If you assumed due to his “foreign” looks that he’d be cramming business management books, then you thought wrong! Morin was happy to inform the BUZZ team that he is a big Potterhead – a term fans of J.K Rowling’s Harry Potter books have coined for themselves. He also loves the Hobbit and Lord of the Rings novels from J.R.R. Tolkien.
“I prefer to read books that take my mind off work. So, anything that takes me to a faraway land, where you can dream. And funny enough, [reading] is when I get my best thinking done,” he explained.
10. Being a dad
For Morin, being a dad is one of his greatest achievements. EVER.
“It’s up there as probably the most special thing that could happen to a human being. It’s a lot of responsibility; it can cause a lot of emotional strain but it’s immensely rewarding,” Morin told BUZZ.
“To watch our children go through different stages in life, grow and learn; seeing a mini product of you — it’s just an incredible experience,” he added.
