Dancer Danii Boo signs to Ce’Cile and Skatta’s BadCoMpany label
Ce’Cile has made her name locally and internationally as a talented
singer and deejay. Known for hits such as Changes, Waiting and When You’re Gone, Ce’Cile has decided to give back to the music by signing dancer-turned-artiste
Danii Boo to her BadCoMpany label, a joint effort with Billboard producer Cordell
‘Skatta’ Burrell.
Danii Boo is excited about the release of her single, Nestle.
“At BadCoMpany, we are developing people that we like, and we are putting
them out there. Danii Boo is very creative, confident and self-motivated, and
we like that about her,” said Ce’Cile.
BadCoMpany boasts a talented and eclectic production team, which includes
Craig ‘Leftside’ Parks and Kunley McCarthy of Ward 21 fame and executive
production from Joe Bogdanovich of DSR.
The label has released Danii Boo’s debut single, Nestle, a
swinging club banger that’s ready to heat up the airwaves. The accompanying music
video was directed by Jay Will.
Danii Boo is known for demonstrating her dancing skills on the dancehall
scene. After making her entry in 2016, she quickly racked up accolades, including
Best Individual Female Dancer at the weekly Uptown Mondays Anniversary event.
“I’m excited and overwhelmed to work with professional people. They know
exactly what they are doing, and they understand the music industry. This is
like the best experience for me,” said Danii Boo.
“I always loved music and even before recording music, I was always
critical of the types of songs that I heard. So, doing my own music was a
natural transition for me.”
Danii Boo has displayed her dancing ability in music videos for dancehall
artistes like Konshens, Kalado, Devin Di Dakta, Vybz Kartel, RDX, Leftside and
Trabass.
“I started dancing professionally in 2016 when I signed with Pon Di Spot
Media. The association has been a good one,” she explained.
Danii Boo also hosts a weekly YouTube programme called The Danii Boo
Show, which gives viewers an insight into the dancehall lifestyle.
