Island Grill founder Thalia Lyn for PSOJ Hall of Fame
KINGSTON, Jamaica – Thalia Lyn, founder and Chief Executive Officer of fast-food restaurant chain, Island Grill, will be inducted into the Private Sector Hall of Fame next Tuesday, October 29.
Lyn is the 27th business leader and second female to be inducted into the Private Sector Organisation of Jamaica (PSOJ) Hall of Fame.
The ceremony, which will be held at the Jamaica Pegasus Hotel, will honour Lyn for her 40 years of business experience.
In a release earlier today the PSOJ called Lyn an “iconic visionary as is evident by her creation of the indigenous Island Grill chain”.
The organisation highlighted Lyn’s activism for gender equality and the less fortunate. According to the release, Lyn is also known for procuring immeasurable support for Jamaica, particularly the Mustard Seed Communities — which operates 14 homes across Jamaica and where she serves as director.
The PSOJ’s Private Sector Hall of Fame was established in 1992. The award honours esteemed business leaders who have made significant contributions to the development of the private sector and Jamaica. It also pays tribute to three important traits – successful entrepreneurship, leadership and character.
