Camperdown, Trinity draw as Wolmer’s win in Manning Cup
Camperdown and Holy Trinity battled to a nil-all draw in their Digicel/ISSA Manning Cup schoolboy football second-round match at Stadium East on Wednesday. It was the first of two legs.
Camperdown controlled the action for most of the early
period of the first half in which they raided the Holy Trinity goal
consistently, although not creating many scoring opportunities.
Holy Trinity settled midway the half and shifted the tables
slightly. They were threatening when attacking and caused many anxious moments
inside the Camperdown defence.
In the second half, both teams gave as much as they took,
although Holy Trinity were once again more threatening in attack. They created
three excellent chances to score, but the players fired wide, although, on each
occasion, they were faced with only the goalkeeper to beat.
