Terminated Petrojam general manager goes to Ministry of Labour for more money
Former general manager of Petrojam Floyd Grindley has taken his severance dispute to the Ministry of Labour.
Grindley, it is understood, is not satisfied with the separation package he received. Permanent secretary in the Ministry of Science, Technology
and Energy, Carol Palmer made the discloser on Wednesday, while appearing
before Parliament’s Public Administration and Appropriations Committee (PAAC).
Documents submitted to PAAC members indicate that Grindley
received a net payment of $5,233,028 on or before July 31 last year.
Acting general manager at Petrojam, Telroy Morgan, revealed that prior to his termination, Grindley had written to Chairman Paul Hoo, indicating an inclination for his contract to end.
Grindley was the general manager of the government-run Petrojam when various types of irregularities were discovered. Investigations are ongoing in many of these.
