THE sweltering temperatures which inundated the Sunshine City of Portmore in St Catherine all summer, had to take a back seat to the vibes at Inches Streets Cooler Fete last Sunday.

Held at the Portmore Mall parking lot, the event attracted a large turnout of patrons, who arrived around 9:00 pm — some five hours after the scheduled start time.

“The highlight of the party was the excellent music and the supreme bar service that we offered. Patrons were also appreciative of the nicely decorated Inches Cups that we gave out,” said co-promoter Shawn “Cut Eye” Clarke of C-Eye Promotions.

The event is usually held on the beach, however, the promoters decided on a new location.

“Being an original Portmore party and Portmore Mall is centrally located with ample security and parking, we decided on having the party there. We also took into consideration the access to public transportation for patrons who do not drive,” Clarke said.

The crowd, which comprised a mix of young and trendy patrons, partied to musical delights courtesy of Di Unit, Team Shella, X-Factor and Bumpy Cash.
