KINGSTON, Jamaica — The Integrity Commission is announcing the appointment of Keisha Prince as the Director of Corruption Prosecution on secondment from the Office of the Director of Public Prosecutions.

The Commission said Prince was granted an Instrument of Appointment on December 2 by Governor General Sir Patrick Allen for a period of six months, with immediate effect.

The Commission noted that the secondment of Prince will support the its efforts in executing the mandate of the Corruption Prosecution Division, in keeping with Section 34 of the Integrity Commission Act, and will enable the full discharge of the functions of the division as the commission completes its recruitment exercise.

Prince is the holder of Bachelor of Arts Degree in Literatures in English from the University of the West Indies, Mona, a Bachelor of Laws Degree from the University of the West Indies, Cave Hill and a Certificate of Legal Education from the Norman Manley Law School, the Commission said in a press release.

It added that she was called to the Bar in November 2006.

“Ms Prince has been employed to the Office of the Director of Public Prosecutions for the past 11 years, with her latest appointment being to the post of Deputy Director of Public Prosecutions.  During her tenure at the Office of the Director of Public Prosecutions, Ms Prince headed the Units for Corruption Prevention and Coroner’s matters,” the Commission said in its release.

Prince will join the team of directors namely; Interim Executive Director, Colonel Daniel Pryce; Acting Director of Information and Complaints, Joy Powell; and Acting Director of Investigation, David Grey, the Commission said.
