K Sling gets a buzz
Emerging dancehall deejay K Sling is getting a buzz for Affi Come Back , which was released on the Anthony Records label on September 13. It is available on all digital download platforms.
“The response has been great. The song has gained traction on social media leading to a few dancers from Russia and the Netherlands posting videos dancing to the song, so I am really pleased with how that song has taken off, so I plan to shoot a video for it in 2020,” said K Sling, whose real name is Keron Rowe.
The Spanish Town-based artiste has been doing music professionally for the past seven years. K Sling recently scored an international remix Apocalyptic Wine with OBLXZ, a Swedish artiste-song writer. K Sling has also teamed up with Dutch DJ group KD SoundSystem for his most popular song, Turn Me On.
“ The Turn Me On song really did well in Russia and Netherlands as well where I seem to be developing a nice fan base,” he said.
Born in Mandeville, he moved to Spanish Town as a kid where he attended Eltham Primary and then Jonathan Grant High School where his interest in music was sparked. He honed his craft performing at a few community shows, in an around Spanish Town along with his friend Garnet Allen aka “Zagga U” and Orien Gilzene aka Chrystian. Over the years, he has done shows such as the annual Galiday Bounce from 2006 to 2010, Trelawny Ulster Spring Annual Concert 2011 and 2012.
He has a few other songs in rotation such as Never Rate We, Show Me Di Wine, Give Thanks, and Hard Life.
