Cool tech backpacks: Bring all the gadgets

We live in a tech-filled world. We need to protect our laptops, power banks, smartphones, cameras and games from the elements. Some of us may travel around with several different tech items.

It’s imperative to store your tech in a safe place to avoid damage or theft. Backpacks are essential tech storage solutions for all your gadgets. Here are a few options.

tomtoc City A77

tomtoc makes tech carrying bags and cases.

The tomtoc City backpack A77 is an excellent choice for all your tech needs. It

has various compartments including a dedicated slot for a power bank with an

included USB cable so you can charge on the go. The bag also has dedicated

pockets for tablets and phones. The bag is made equipped with high-quality YKK

zippers for easy opening.

The patented “BottomArmor” technology

protects up to 15.6-inch laptops from damage.

One of the most functional features of the

tomtoc City A77 is its TSA friendly laptop compartment. It opens all the way so

it can lay flat. The feature is a time saver for those who travel, as you won’t

have to remove your laptop from your bag when going through port security.

The bag costs US$69.99 on Amazon.

Amazon Basics 17-inch Laptop Backpack

E-commerce giant often offers less expensive options for popular items. The AmazonBasics Laptop Computer Backpack costs only US$29.99 and fits up to a 17.3-inch laptop.

It has a surplus of compartments for all your tech needs, including a large water bottle and mesh holder on one side. The padded sleeves provide comfort for heavy loads and or long trips.

eBags Professional Weekender Carry-On

Backpack

This backpack is a unique take on a tech backpack. Designed for travel the eBags Weekender backpack stores laptops with up to 18-inch screens. There’s also space for passport, pens, tablets, phones and clothes. Its unusual design has a front compartment that folds out horizontally, revealing several pockets.

At the base of the bag is a section with a hard shell for storing items that may get damaged easily. Most notable is the convertible nature of the backpack. It can be carried as a briefcase with the bag straps neatly tucked away. You can pick one up from Amazon for US$119. The bag is available in black, heathered graphite and brushed indigo.

JanSport Broadband Laptop Backpack

For those who want a more traditional, fashionable looking backpack, the JanSport Broadband laptop backpack may be for you. There are no fancy ports or horizontal compartments on this design.

Its minimalistic design is perfect for students or those who want to blend in and don’t want to appear too “technologically savvy.” Despite its smaller, unassuming look, the JanSport still has enough space for a 15.6-inch laptop. It’s available on Amazon for US$99.

Manfrotto Street Camera and Laptop Backpack

Camera gear is expensive. Whether you’re into photography or videography, there is no greater fear than your devices crashing to the floor. You can protect your equipment with the Manfrotto Street backpack.

The bag comes with a camera insert with padded dividers for those times you need to bring your DSLR or Mirrorless camera and lenses. What’s cool is that you can remove the insert and use the bag as a regular backpack.

There’s also space for a 15.6-inch laptop. This bag comes in green and black.
