Alliance kings Bounty Killer and Busy Signal have collaborated on

a track and fans need it like yesterday.

The ‘Grung Gad’ went Liveon Instagram last night from KingJammy’s Studio where the track was premiered, and it is giving all the newmillennium Alliance feels, a fresh flow from “Di Killa†and quite abit of badness.

Titled Bang Bung, the

track was produced by Jammy’s son John John, whose uncomplicated beat is a

complementary contrast to the rapid-fire rapping flow of Signal who starts the

song.

He traverses subtopics like high grade and the modern day

Casanova, but it’s gangsterism that really takes centrestage in the song.

Bounty alludes to this in the effortless chorus, repeating “bang

bung,†one of his most famous slangs.

He picks up from Signal’s rapping flow, and finesses the rhythm

with hardcore bars about spearheading the making of duppies, having a

“strapped†entourage and making money while having women at his

disposal.

Scores of gun salutes could be heard as the song played twice, and the veteran artist flipped the camera on himself to lip-sync the song, and Signal joined in and followed suit. John John and other men were also shown on the Live.

The “gun song†comes off the heels of Prime Minister

Andrew Holness’ comments in January that violent themes in Jamaican music are

devaluing the culture. Bounty Killer was in opposition to the comments, and

endorsed a response track done by Devin Di Dakta which posited that dancehall

shouldn’t be blamed for criminality.

Bounty actually ended the Liveafter someone in the studio paused the song to make a joke that he was gettinga call from Holness.

“Yuh just mek mi haffi kill mi Live dawg,†the deejay said.

Despite the potential controversy that could brew upon the song’s

release, fans are excited about the collaboration.

Reggae singer Gramps Morgan commented, “YOOOOOOO YOU A DI

GREATEST. THIS IS DANCEHALL.†Founding Alliance member Wayne Marshall also

endorsed the track, as well as artists Tarrus Riley, Dre Island, Chi Chi Ching

and Mortimer.
