Film community mourns videographer and photographer Courtney Sutherland

KINGSTON, Jamaica — The local film community is mourning videographer and photographer Courtney Sutherland, who was shot dead on Washington Boulevard yesterday morning.

Sutherland, 49, was reportedly killed during a traffic incident at the Drewsland/Washington Boulevard intersection

“Our film and TV community yesterday lost a cherished colleague — his work included videography, photography, grip and more,” Jamaica Film and Television Association said.

“…Always willing to lend a helping hand on set, Courtney is remembered as being a welcomed calming influence and a gentle soul. RIP.”
