Vershon drops EP after deal with Warner Music UK
Dancehall artiste Vershon has released his first
major effort after inking a deal with music powerhouse Warner Music UK through
its Parlophone subsidiary.
Vershon signed the deal recently, the clearest indication
that he’s ready to expand his career to the international level. He also
confirmed that this is the first record deal that he has signed.
In relation to the deal, Vershon has described the
development in his music career as “excellent”. He shared, “Warner
Music is an established international label, so that is an excellent move for
me. I can see where things can happen internationally for my career.”
Vershon teamed up with the likes of the FaNaTiX to
put together the tracks, also working with Plan B on the track Stick By Me. The album also features
Jamaican act Busy Signal and grime artiste Chip.
The Inna Real
Life artiste released Only One, asix-track EP with production credits by Saints Music, in early March followingthe deal. He previously released another EP, One More Day, independently.
