Police arrest carpenter who allegedly pulled gun during dispute
HANOVER, Jamaica — A 38-year-old carpenter has been charged with illegal possession of firearm and assault at common law after he reportedly pulled a firearm on another man during a confrontation in Haughton Gardens, in Hanover on Friday, June 11.
Charged is Randale McFarlane otherwise called ‘Blacks’ of Elgin Town, Lucea in the parish.
The police said that about 4:00 pm, McFarlane had a guest staying at his house when an argument developed over domestic matters.
McFarlane told the person to leave the house and he complied.
However, he later went back inside the house, triggering another argument during which McFarlane allegedly pulled a handgun and pointed it at the face of the other person, asking him to leave once more.
A report was made to the police and McFarlane charged.
