T&T couple caught in church roof attempting to break-in
A Trinidad and Tobago couple is expected to appear virtually before a judge on Monday (June 28) after they were found in the roof of a church.
According to police, they were responding to an alarm at the Kelly Village Open Bible Church compound on Thursday (June 24) at about 8:00 p.m., when the pair was observed in the church roof. Â
After struggling to get the 27-year-old man and an 18-year-old woman down, police say they seized a number of tools, including shears, pig foot pliers, hammers and a makeshift chisel that were in their possession.
Police say the couple is being questioned in relation to other church break-ins in the area.
